Jeremiah One: Seven "But the LORD said to me: "Do not say, 'I am a youth,' For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak." Rhenium 187 is an "Elite Force" of young Christians showing the Love of Christ and the Truth of God's Word through music, dance and drama. Members of the group are in their teens to early twenties, the youngest member of the group being thirteen years old. These young artist are selected not only on the basis of their talent and creativity, but also on their zeal for a life lived for Jesus Christ. The group "brings home" the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ to other teens in a relevant manner. The group gets their name Rhenium 187 from the element Rhenium, which is one of the rarest elements in the universe. The radioactive element Rhenium 187 has the longest known half life of any radioactive material (over 41 billion years), so the effects left behind are lasting, which is one of the goals of the group, to have a lasting effect on their world. The group is under the direction of Debbie Murray, and is a ministry of Accelerator Ministries, whose mission is to facilitate the growth of the local church's youth ministry. The group ministers throughout the Northeast U.S. and is planning a possible East Coast Tour in 2004. |
